    Nature's wrath. Lightning rods?

    have lightening rods on my house, no insurance benefits just peace of mind, house is 30 years old. Problem is can come in on power lines, phone lines, even large trees taller than house can be a problem so not sure it pays especially if you have to keep putting on trees and moving them as they grow

    I am like you Have a 65 Fairlane 500 bought new $2000. It has set 20 years in garage on jack stands year ago the gas tank leaked so drained it now I will have to get a new tank, need to get it started always have high plans but other projects come up. Just dont trust mechanics to start it...

    I just did my first trial dont like tabbed batterys hard to tear off if not in right place also I took heavy wire for my souldering gun and made tip so i could hammer flat to get between batterys that soulder end to end. need a jig for what ever you are doing keeps things lined up

    rick I just stretched some in the last month on un even ground you need 2 come alongs to get even stretch i also had such a short slope going down to drive htat i cut bottom wire and spliced it for bottom 3 I used these crimpiong sleeves they work pretty nice and dont look bad as the old rtwist...

    O/T 2000 FORD WON'T START WITH KEY

    dave is right just replaced ignition switch on my 86 f150 what a pain nothing wrong with old one after looking but already put new one in all it needed was adjusted and tightewned be sure to take off ground at battery

    Thanks for your comments.good advice. I have JD trec manual. i assumed that running dry (my Wife)that things were messed up. I dont seem to ask the right questions usually dont get much help fom weekend freedom they seem a little upity.

    Have 425 just lost all fluid and will need to re build hydrstst transimission and all that goes with it I have tec manual but dealer advises aginst it looking at all the warnings in manual not sure i want to tackle without someone to advise has any body out there done this??
