Looking for a used main tractor

I used to pull an 11' mounted chisel plow with a JD 4430 that didn't have the injector pump turned up. Once I got the load/depth sensor set right it'd go 5.5mph, pulling fairly deep, hardly slip. The newest 4430's are 45 years old so finding a good one might take some doing, especially under $20,000

    Deere Oil

I set in the middle of Van Wall stores. They bought out a good local group a few years ago. The prices sure jumped and now I can't get a parts price/location online. I switched to AgriVision now I can get a price and location. AgriVision seems to have more 9400 combine parts on hand, 20 extra...

    Vermeer 605F baler question

I ran a F for 20 years. I shut the pto off almost everytime I kicked a bale out. The land I farm is very hilly so most of the time I had to back around to find a decent place for the bale so it wouldn't roll down the hill. I didn't want the u-joints rattling.

I've got a Black Machine planter. It can hydraulically fold out and plant 12-30 corn/beans or leave it folded add a middle unit in the back and plant 13-15. The BM frame was made at Vinton,Ia. Almost any row units could be put on. Mine has Kinze 2000. It's a very heavy planter and has negative...

    Mt Pleasant IA swap meet

kinda' wondering if it's worth the trip, be a little over 200 miles from me. Didn't go to Le Seuer, had a big project that I wasn't sure how it was going to go, got it done way quicker than I thought. Maybe I'll head to MP on Friday.

    Driving Purchased Tractors Home

Spring of '86 I drove my jd 4430 60 miles home from a farm sale. It had bias tires and fluid so I stayed off the paved roads as much as possible to keep from wearing the tires down. It was an easy ride. Still have it.

Kinze soybean meter users - question - problem with see

check to see how many acres you're getting on a fill. I changed varieties today 3,200 to 3,100. My monitor dropped 20,000. km 3000 monitor. I planted a fill just to see, the acres were a smidge less just what I expected. sometimes it's just the monitor.

Kinze soybean meter users - question - problem with see

I've heard talc over graphite helps. How are your brushes? If the black plates are a little wore that'll help. I keep a wore set around for seed size that's in the grey area. I also have blue plates. Seed treatment makes the seeds a little bigger that's where the talc helps.
