    Cleaning tractor with oven cleaner

    I might add, overn cleaner is high caustic and will eat electrical wiring connections and any thing aluminum...so be sure to wash it with plenty of soap and water.

    I found the one I needed at a retired mechanic's auction, but had to buy it with an old radiator - unrepairable...$35. I have not seen another one since.

    TO 20 cylinder sleeves question

    I just rebuilt my TO20, had the same problem. I not saying this is right or wrong, but I cleaned the area with a wire brush and then alchol, then lightly honed each one with the cylinder hone...used an old set of stones. Do not take any more metal than needed to get a clean and true sealing...

    Brake Pedal on my Dodge 3500

    If you need one running right now - switch engines, check and replace the clutch pad, / bearigs ...ect. Then go after the bad engine / breaks/ steering or just use it for a parts tractor...or sell it on the cheep.

    The book says that to much bale tension, but this problem probably has been getting worse for you over time, check the twine disc position on that one not working right-probably going late.     The one quick way to see how much wear you currently have is to use plasta guage on the old bearings. This will tell you the total wear clearance you have now. I recomend that someone experianced use a micrometer and measure the size on the crank shaft, then you will know what bearings to order...
