OT - cleaning up old copper

You might look into a product called Peel Away. It will remove something like 30 layers of paint in one application. I used it to strip a 55 year old door with great results.

    No Spark----'52 8n

Good news guys, she's purring like a kitten again! I followed all the suggestions that everybody posted and cleaned all the contacts inside the distributor cap. When reinstalling the rotor I noticed that the center contact seemed bent downward and thought to myself there's no way it's making...

    OT – SUV Opinions Wanted

I have an Expedition and a Sequoia. While the Expy is nice, it can't compare with the Toyota in terms of overall quality. That said, the Expy has been a pretty good vehicle but has required some pretty costly maintenance (tranny, AC hose, ball joints, etc.) in its 130K miles. I have to admit...

    OT chainsaw question

A lot of the pros will tell you that the 290/310 is the worst saw Stihl makes, but they are also the most common so it seems that the general population buys and likes them. If you have a few extra bucks look at the 260.

    '52 8n 6v coil

Six months ago my 8n starts like a champ and runs strong, but then I go out and get a new 55 HP New Holland and neglect the 8n for all these months. Anyway, I go to start the 8n and all it does is crank. Then it quits cranking and the starter just spins. So I have the starter rebuilt and now it...
