    Time to sell

Recently I purchased a newer tractor that has the ability to better handle some tasks at our place. With that, I am selling some of of my old Fords. I have an 860 and an NAA that I just posted and an 8N that I haven't listed yet. I'm not sure if anyone on here close to me would be...

    rookie jubilee owner

Could be a diverter, but mine runs off a separate pump on the crank shaft. If that's the case, he just has the standard float position (1) and the position control (2). Check the lever(2) and make sure it is all the way up. That is the position control for your 3 point, and allows you to...

I also considered the whole "not getting rid of everything" which is why I'm technically not. I still have 2 other NAAs and another 8n at my dads farm that I've taken over since he passed a couple of years ago. Its only about 3 miles from my place, so I can easily move things back and forth.

    Caption this... (WARNING, tractor content!)

Reminds me of Jeff Dunhams' character Achmed... " Leeson with your ears corn... or I KEEL you!"

    Decisions decisions...

Honestly, one of the only reasons I was considering the Mahindra line is because I've seen them work in some miserable conditions. I retired from the Army after 23 years, and during my 3 years in Afghanistan, I saw the locals using the crap out of those things over there in areas that would...

    Decisions decisions...

So, I'm considering selling off my old work clan of Fords and purchasing one new utility tractor to replace them. I've enjoyed almost every moment of collecting and repairing these old beasts ( 8n, NAA, 600, 800), however practicality and ease of use is a driving factor. I haven't been to any...

    Losing local business

Ss55, if that was the case it would be a understandable. It may very well play a portion though. The gentleman that started the business passed from cancer a few years back, so although he got to enjoy what he did everyday with this business, he never truly got to retire. I don't want anyone to...

Also be sure you have the correct size fiber gaskets for each side of the banjo bolt. There are 2 sizes. They both have the potential to fit the banjo bolt. I found this out when I replaced mine.. had the same problem.

    Losing local business

I received a call yesterday from a gentleman I know that works at a long time local tractor parts yard. He asked if I could think of any parts that I may need because they were going to close Friday (tomorrow). I said I wasn't sure at the moment and then it hit me... wait... closing? Like...

    Carb assistance needed

I guess my biggest question is... what could be causing this thing to backfire just before it starts? If I let it sit overnight, I can generally get it to fire up by giving it a little throttle. I'll let it run about 10-15 minutes, shut it off and wait 1-2 minutes then try to restart. It will...

    Carb assistance needed

Thanks JMOR. I've noticed that in some of the pics and breakdowns that you and some of the other smart fellas on here have posted previously, however this 976 carb has it in neither location. Just a small/short threaded brass plug on the bottom and sealed area on the top where that one would...

    Carb assistance needed

I'll try and make this as short as possible with hopefully all the pertinent information. I have a 55' 861 with a TSX593 that up until this spring ran like a top. Would start by barely touching the starter button. Not so much this year. I had a harder time firing it up this spring, so I...
