    Take a look om the other side if it has the injection pump reworked and the late style fuel filters. We sold about a dozen as 2 wheel drive tractors There are probably 2 left as the other other owners are all dead!

    Where are these cracks? If you are going to overhaul it use 550 sleeves and pistons and get the valve protrusion set correctly Do get the head pressure tested. Can you send me a phone number and a picture of the head. Also a picture of the PTO clutch.

    If you do some PTO work like running a feed grinder run the transmission in low range. that also helps.

    You are there and I am here ,but I would look at problems with the imput shaft. Have you check transmission oil pressure? Take the transmission cover off and look in there. It has been 50 years since I looked at one.. How loose are the top shaft bearings?

    One thing I remember was that they mad some gaskets for between the carburetor and the intake manifold out of 1/8 inch aluminum to keep them from freezing

    Compression should be 350 psi at cranking speed. No doubt it will not be that high.
