Given all the replies, and the apprent confusion.....BEFORE you burn the house down or electrocute yourself, I'd seek a professional. Little cost may save you a lot of grief. My opinion, your mileage may vary. -

Bug zapper
I have used 'Jake's theorem' for years and it seems plausible. If ya plug it in, turn it on and it don't work......good chance, it's broke. -

Compression tester
You might want to be careful pulling plugs on a hot engine if the head is aluminum. You might just pull the thread with the plug. -

Maybe one end is to loosen nut and the other end to tighten it! -

Multimeter continuity fail
Let's do the easiest thing first. 1. turn off meter 2. release DH button and any others that are IN 3. press the DIODE check button and hold til the little speaker lights 4. If that don't work...do this: 1. trash it 2. go to Harborfreight and buy something and they'll give you one for FREE... -

Removing B&S Fuel Shutoff Solenoid
Are you sure it's the solenoid? Do you have 12v on the connector? If no, check voltage at hour meter. I jumpered 12v to the solenoid and heard it click. I just had one go bad and replaced the hour meter, now runs like Jimmie Johnson's racecar. Good luck, keep us informed. -

Farmall W30
Found out that my dads first tractor was a W30 Farmall; can anyone tell me there history? Yrs made? He must have bought it in the 40's ; I remember I ran it in the late 50's.... Not many pics out there ...thanks- banjoman09
