    Send it to me... I ain't askeered of it as long as it looks to be uncorroded. Do you reload?? You could always pull the bullets on the 30.06 and .357 and reload them. I'll even pay shipping if you are going to throw it away.

    Allis B pto grinding when disengaged

    The drive gear remains on the trans shaft and is held on by a clip. Once you get the PTO housing off you will be able to see what is going on with the engagement lever. Basically all the lever is is a big 2 position detent with a ball and spring. I bet maybe the safety wire came off and allowed...

    Sounds like you are right. You have a No. 5 sickle mower mounted but you must be missing the sickle bar.

    Allis Chalmers C carb.mag.

    On my '45 C I have a WICO magneto and a newer replacement aluminum Zenith carb with an adjustable main jet. The thing runs excellent. Way better than when I got it. Very pleased with that set up.
