    I have a Massey Ferguson 42 (I think) sickle mower. I broke the knife head on it. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a new knife head? I have done quite a bit of searching on the internet, but can't find a sickle head anywhere. Thanks

    Thanks for the help. I'll keep that in mind. Right now, all that works fine. What I need is the rock shaft that twisted off (lack of grease it appears) when I tried to raise the mower.

    Thanks, but the JD isn't mine. It was parked beside the mower at a consignment auction lot. I ended up buying the mower before the auction, so if you are really interested, I can probably connect you with the JD.

    Thanks for the help. I put out an ad looking for either a 3pt or trailer type (I didn't want the direct-mounted version) and this was the one I got. I'll look into getting parts for the model #51.
