    Rebuilding a 1941 H (my grandfather bought it brand new). The block is now stripped and have found the crank has a melted center main.     The 1 appears to be original, thus making the tractor a 1944. The "PPMH" appears to be applied by someone else. Google around and didn't find much about these letters.

    Having worked up there, this picture is a classic! Wouldn't believe such a thing happened if I hadn't seen stuff like this with my own eyes... No snow in the forecast up in this area yet either. Live about an hour from Escanaba and weather man says a brown Christmas for all.
