    IHC McCormick Deering Corn Planter

I am looking for information on this IHC McCormick Deering corn planter. It's not a check row but ground driven. It might be a model 106 but I am looking for more information. Jeff

    Ford 2N Tractor???

The tractor and trailer were my Grandpa's and are long gone. The plate on the trailer is 1956 which is about right given the age of my uncle in the picture. Did the 2Ns come with the muffler either vertical or under the axle? As a kid it was a bit intimidating with the muffler up in my face...

What Piece of Equipent??? Two More Pictures

Mike, I hope your book is better than mine. I've looked at pictures of the No 22 and No 31 and I don't think it's either of them. It looks more like a No 51 to me but I don't have a picture of a good side view. See pictures. Jeff

What Piece of Equipent??? Two More Pictures

These two pictures were in my grandparents pictures. I don't know who the men are in the picture. What is the piece of equipment and what year might it be from? I know when my mom was an infant in the late 1930s that my grandpa worked on a threshing ring so thought this might be some type of...

    What Tractor and Harvester??? 1940s

Looks like 1939-1953 so the tractor is probably from the 1940s. Would it be hand crank start with magneto? There is a hand crank in the picture. Jeff

    What Tractor and Harvester??? 1940s

We step back in time again. You helped me identify my Grandpa's IHC No 64 Harvester so now we'll step back into the 1940s. Different tractor and harvester. What are they??? One picture is labeled 1949 which would make sense based on the age of my deceased uncle in the picture. Jeff

    IHC McCormick Deering Combine/Harvester Model????"

Thanks for your input and information. I downloaded some data from the Wisconsin Historical Society web site and it is starting to make more sense. It appears like IHC used the continental engines prior to the No. 64 Harvester. Two engines are listed for the No 64 Harvester. See attached...

    IHC McCormick Deering Combine/Harvester Model????"

I see what you mean by the WHS web site. Now I can't sleep. On the WHS site it lists two engines under the No 64 Harvester 3 X 4" 2 5/8 X 2 3/4" I wonder if that is the bore and stroke of the engines? Great web site but I haven't found any manuals. Jeff

    IHC McCormick Deering Combine/Harvester Model????"

Mike If you could copy the specs out of your manual that would be great. There are manuals on ebay for the No 64 harvester and also the engine but I haven't been able to figure out which model the engine is. On the front of the manual for the engine is says 3X4" but I don't know what that...

    IHC McCormick Deering Combine/Harvester Model????"

The information you are providing is a big help. So it has a 4 cylinder, Continental L-head (Flathead) engine. Could it be F124, F140, or F160? Is the IHC McCormick Deering production and spec data available on the web? Also, are these old engines still around for collectors? Jeff

    IHC McCormick Deering Combine/Harvester Model????"

Thank you for the information. It is very helpful. Is production and spec data available on the web? I haven't been able to find much other than some pictures of the machines. Also, were the Cub and Super A engines IHC engines and are there still some engines around? I have other IHC hit n...
