    Thanks found the thread with "viton" in it ... it talked about copper reacting with the viton tipped needle somehow and degrading it. Thanks for the info will check the numbers later today if I get out there before dark(away from home) My dad had a 1650D and loved it.

    Copper flecks in the distributor cap

    Fleck of copper in the distributor cap indicate that the distributor has too much side slop right? I see there is a bushing available. Does this usually fix the problem. It died a couple days ago and will not fire, dtopped dead in it track so suspect that more copper is shorting out spark or...
