    720 LP Wiring parts list

    I would suggest using either Brillman or AgriServices ready made harness that are the exact replacement for the original harness. Plus they come with installation diagrams and numbered wire terminals to tell exactly what goes where.

    ‘58 620 Differential Oil Check

    Make sure you didn't drain the hydraulic fluid. That plug is between the rear axle plug and the PTO plug, kinda tucked up a little.

    That's interesting. I use AC That's interesting. I use AC C88's exclusively in my Waterloos. 530-730. Could never get a set of Champions to last. But the last set of AC's I bought were probably 10 years ago. I've not tried the Autolites, but will keep them in mind for the next tune up.

    Most Group 31 batteries have between 950 and 1100 CCA. Depends on the make. Usually the middle ground of 1000 seems to be the most common. I get three year old Group 31 batteries for free from our Generator Division. They have to be replaced after 3 years no matter the condition. So, the 830...

    My 420U is an early all green version. 4 speed trans with single stage clutch. There's definitely no PTO brake.

    JD 730 gas to diesel

    That's what I did. Sold my 730 diesel and purchased a gasser. It's a lot rougher, but a work in progress. Just have to rebuild the carb, and if I get ambitious, tear apart the PTO and figure out why it tries to kill the engine when I try to engage the clutch. I'm guessing seized output shaft...

    Where is the correct place to attach ground battery cable on JD 730?

    All of mine are grounded to one of the battery box hold down bolts. Since I had the boxes off, I removed the paint from the top of the bolster for that corner, removed the paint where the battery box contacts the lift cover at that bolster, and removed the paint on the inside of the battery box...

    I would think you'd have to make some pretty serious modifications to the platform. It sits further back and lower on the 830 than the 730.
