    Got a super A back to the barn. First IH tractor and want to change the oil. I see the drain plug, pulled the filter, but where is a "dipstick" for oil check and how/where do you add the new oil back in? wanna do it right, thanks b

    father in law picked up a N tractor which we believe is 9N but we need to find serial number. tractor has been heavily repainted ...where do we look for the tractor id on these type models. Also, what other clues could we find if paint is hiding

    thanks, my problem is that the markings on the pulley are not clear as it seems some pitting is around alot of the pulley wheel. i think this is why my tdc is not probably perfect. i am just letting that pressure blow against my thumb assuming when pressure is over i am at tdc.

    Wanted to give everbody who helped on this a BIG thanks as we did make the parade! Cub is timed and ran good. I am having a little steam out of the radiator area but we can take a look and get that fixed i am sure.

    it is distributor. new point, condensor, cap, plug wire, plugs added i really believe i am not at true TDC. I am going to try again...any good tricks to give me confidence on the TDC?

    Hal, I am a little fuzzy on the TDC. I have been using TDC as to have the valve closest to the raidiator in the up position? Should i not be using the valve but instead the Piston next to the radiator? just to be clear i have 8 valves and only 4 pistons. Help clear the cobb webbs on this one...
