    well,got 6 volts going to new coil but nothing leaving it,checked inside of distributor i can't find nothing wrong, still no fire at points. tiered of messing with going to take a break for a few days and give brain a break,will touch base when i figure it out.

    I replaced everything in the distributor points set them on 020, new condenser , rotor button. there was no fire from the coil. before it totally quit firing it would run for about 30 seconds and shut down dead as a door nail. i am going to pick up a new coil Monday. hope and see if that works...

    A couple of questions, first where are the numbers located to find out for sure what year and model tractor i have. it said 100 on the hood but but the holes were butchered to get the stuff to fit through it. 2nd. coil got hot and no fire to points, put in new plugs, points, condenser rotor...

    Does anyone make reproduction tanks for a Farmall 100? I know you can seal the old tank but never tried to do it. How much trouble is it. I found 1 tank local but he is wanting 275 to 300 dollars for it. mine is not leaking but does have a big dent next to the filler hole is pretty rusted...

    Fluids

    Need to know what goes in the Tranny and rear end, and also the lift on a farmall 100. I have the IH-201 manual but can't find it for the life of me for some reason.

    chargeing system

    I have thought about 12v. system because i know either the v.regulator or gen is bad. I changed my old 9n. ford over to 12.volts but i just bought a kit and it was a piece of cake to change. another point with a 12v. is it is just easier to jump off if the battery gos dead.

    I have been told a 8v. battery is the way to go. will a 6v. system charge a 8v. battery and will a 6v. charger charge a 8v. battery. in other words i have got to buy a new battery regardless before i can get it going.
