It's been a while, had to do some yard work. Cracked out the chipper and took care of 40 olive trees on the back of the feild. Back at it, got the sleeves, pistons and and rings installed. Stamped the new pistons and rods for the next time so I know where they go and in what direction...

Well, it's been another week and I don't have much to show. I helped my wife with a party which took all of my Thursday through Saturday time. Correct pistons and rings came in but still waiting on the liners. I removed the old liners but discovered someone at one point used a bur or cutter to...

Yea, figured that out to late. Ordered everything for the direct injection but when I finally got enough of the schmoo off to see what I had it was to late. I ordered everything for the other engine a to long ago and I was forced to re-order everything again. Still need injectors or a rebuild...

Going back through the photos I discovered an interesting issue, the oil hole for the front idler gear was blocked by a pin. That pin needs to be on top, i verified the bottom hole is a oil galley. Moved the pin to the top and ensured the oil hole is feed through the bottom hole. Getting...

The tab for the bearring was on the incorrect side, both upper and lower bearrings sit against each other. One side was on the correct side as the other orientation was opposite. If both were backwards I would agree with you but as only one reversed I stand by mistakes happen.

Decided to clean up the oil pan, took a bit as the paint was really thick in some areas. Got the primer on and it started to look like something. Moved it to my painting desk and made it happen, looks so much better now. Now to glyptal the inside of the pan so it will be ready for...

I'm not a welder but I can bung a hole, a grinder and paint makes the welder I ain't. Got the block, pan, and cover with pumps pressure washed and de-greased. Cleaned up nicely. Made a mess though. Had to bring out the big guns to get it all off.

It's Saturday, not much forward progress shows but some struggles hender forward progress. The crank was fried from friction damage, I ordered a replacement crank but it seems whoever turned the cranks threads failed miserably. It was supposed to have SAE spec fine thred, it came with METRIC...

Small victories are always appreciated, today was a great day and every day shall be the same. If you believe it it will come true and if doubt takes hold make it a great day. Today I scrubbed and de-rusted the water pump and fan, got it as spanking clean as i could. Fresh coat of primer then a...
