    Ford 860 Update w/ Pictures

Good morning, Magnet, and sorry for the delayed reply! Showcrop is correct...because of this forum's setup, your post went under the radar. The grey is TP-240 by Tisco. The red is matched to a color called Sunrise Red by Rustoleum. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Ford 860 Update w/ Pictures

Thank you for the nice words, everyone! And thanks for the fantastic offer to trade, Showcrop, but I think I might just have to pass. By the way, creating your own spinning gear shows quite a bit of dedication to keeping things original. For future reference, if anyone needs the Powermaster...

PART 2: Need help with Ford 860 and double clutch

Thanks to all who helped with advice! I eventually hauled my 860 back to the garage, split it again, replaced the dual clutch, and somehow everything works great...with no smoking or other signs of apparent engine damage from my first failed attempt. For anyone trying to do a similar fix in...

More help w/ 860 double clutch replacement

Finally! The 860 is back together and working. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who helped! Taking off the little plate with 4 bolts on the bottom of the tractor is very helpful for being able to line up the input shaft with the clutch. Also, although it took some getting used to...

    860/960 transmission/pto seals

FYI, I just bought the NAPA equivalent of the 19831 at my local NAPA two days ago, and it cost about $12 and worked perfectly for the same application in my 860.

More help w/ 860 double clutch replacement

Thanks for the advice! I think everything is lined up correctly, but the clutch came as an assembled unit, and I don't have a jig for it to make sure both discs are lined up with the pilot bearing hole. Looking through the inspection hole on the bottom, I can see that the larger of the...

Thanks to everyone for the help so far. I really appreciate it! So I have everything cleaned up, the two input shaft seals replaced, a new throwout and pilot bearing, and the double clutch is installed. But now I can't get the tractor back together. Is there a trick to doing this without...

I really appreciate the help! I have a master parts catalog and shop manual, but I just want to be sure. Does anyone have the part numbers for the transmission and PTO input seals? Also, is there a trick to getting the old pilot bearing out? And finally, how do I disengage the throwout...
