    Rick, I think that there is a seal around the water pump shaft on the pony motor. If it leaks. it goes into the oil. If I remember correctly

    I have a 29 D also. Mine had Champion 31 plugs in it. I don't know of any one selling them any more. Auto Lite 3095 is suppose to replace the Champion 31, but for some reason I can't even get mine to start on the Auto lite 3095.

    In a 4 x 6 volt system, it is as good as your weakest battery.

    If you are talking about a 2 cyl, yes. The fire ring goes toward the cyl. head.

    I agree with old. It has a bad ground from battery to starter. It is trying to make a ground path through the fuel line.

    Model A 12 volt conversion

    I said that because most alts. used on todays cars and trucks are neg. ground. I was trying to save him the expense of burning up a alt if not hooked up properly. Sure, you can buy anything. What would happen if some one who didn't know the difference hook up a battery.

    You can use positive ground with a generator. Not so with a alt. Either use a 12 volt coil for dist. or get a resistor that cuts voltage to 6 volts going to coil. Change bulbs to 12 volts.

    Our 46 A came with one. Don't know if you could get them without electric start or not. Someone else may know.

    Make sure that your idle linkage is adjusted properly. If so, then you may have a governor problem.

    help removing flywheel on 720 gas

    Also set your crankshaft end play at .005-.010. Make sure that the pin in the flywheel and oil slinger notch are aligned up. If you install flywheel the way it came off, it should align right up.

    Possible moisture in dist. cap and cross firing with key on.

    Remove flywheel[very heavy] Drive off old ring gear with punch and hammer. Heat up new ring gear with torch all the way around and quickly lay on flywheel. If hot enough, it will fall right on and stay there when it cools. Check for timing marks on flywheel and crankshaft and install in the same...
