    John Deere Model M Voltage Problems

    Hi Everyone I have a 1950 Model M. It is charging negative. I replaced the wiring harness, got a new cut-out relay, and got the generator rebuilt. Got it all put back on and it charged correctly for about 2 hours. It showed positive 8 on high charge and about 2 on low charge. Came back 3...

    What year did John Deere go to a pressurized cooling system for the two cylinder tractors?My 52 G has the pressurized radiator but the 52 B our club is raffling does not.There was discussion among the members but no one knew.Thanks for any information in advance.

    Enlighten me!

    Ok, so I drop oil in the mower. It has a 31 HP Kawasaki engine. Out of 10w-30 on the shelf. No biggie. Must be something around here. Should be able to use straight 30w. Check the dipstick as I remember seeing some writing on there. Dipstick says...Oil API SF, SG, SH OR SJ class SAE 30...

    Item # 1130760 at "surplus center" sure looks like what I,m looking for. It is used to ground the coils on the engine when the key is in the off position on the engine of this Kohler 20 hp.. Thanks for the help. I see it is a Normally open [NO], which I think would work. The one on the mower...

    Sorry I was not clear enough on my description. This is on a Schweiss 20 hp mower. They were made at Sherburn, Mn. Then sold to B & H manfr. out of Jackson,Mn. Kohler engine. Mower no longer made. Cannot find any id # on relay. Not sure how to post a picture. Thanks for the help. Jerry S.

    I have the model# and the spec#. Problem is that motor has been discontinued. Have talked to several dealers, getting about that many answers. B&H out of Jackson, Mn. made Schweiss mower for awhile but have stopped production awhile back. Have tried to get an answer out of them. Hasn't happened...
