    Key On Reminder

I like the buzzer idea. This is family members who have been farming for many, many years so I'm not trying to teach a lesson. After spending all day in the field, they are just tired sometimes and forget to make sure they key is off.

    Key On Reminder

We are having some problems remembering to turn the key off at the end of the day on our 30 series Deere's. The suggestion to take the key out every night didn't work, so I am thinking of a buzzer? Has anyone had this problem, and how did you solve it? Batteries are getting expensive.

    JD Parts bad news?

I haven't had any issues finding parts on the new site. I haven't ordered parts through it though. Just got part numbers and called them in to the dealer. They do drop off's once a week, so I just call them in to have them delivered.

Going to tear it apart on Sunday and replace the gaskets. Anyone had this happen before? Confused about why it would happen...

The tomato tasting at the Rutgers farm yesterday

Cool to see, thanks for posting these. I didn't know they did this, that's not far from me. Interesting to see they are growing hops. We are a few years into growing them, didn't know Rutgers planted any. I will have to reach out.

hydraulic connectors for JD newbie - embarrassingly simple

Yes, reach underneath the remote (to the front side) and you can push the receptacle back towards you. Sometimes you have to take a hammer turned sideways and tap (emphasize tap!) it back towards you if they are stiff.

    JD 8300 Soybeans

The disks are on their second year, so they're in good shape. Thought of the spacers, good to know I'm not alone on that. I have never heard of track whackers, they look interesting.

    JD 8300 Soybeans

I have a 8300 drill that we use to plant soybeans and had a problem this year for the first time. Been using this drill for 30 years, but this year we had a problem with beans not coming up in the tractor tires marks. The soil here ranges from clay to soil depending on the field. Dad moved the...
