    Old cultivator clamps, etc......

Looked thru my IH book, had no luck finding the toolbar and clamps. You should check on the implement forum. My uncles IH 404 came with a cultivator, turns out it was made by Dearborn and I guess the IH dealer put decals on it. I dont recogise it at all, will check at the local used implement...

    Plastic Storage Bins shattering

Just got cut, no stitches needed, by another plastic bin shattering. I am in the process of emptying them and using them to take trash to the landfill and leaving them. Seems some bright person came up with the idea that people only used them for a year or two and then discarded them. They are...

Back in the day, What exactly was a field cultivator?

My uncle had one he used to prepare his corn/bean field after plowing from 1972 to the 1990s. Was IH red with decal, turns out it was made from a Dearborn 2 row cultiator. Before that he used a Mccormick disk and an old horse drawn peg harrow behind a Ford N.

    Drag Harrows

We had a 4 section AC drag harrow. The back two were attached to the front two with about a foot of chain at the corners. Each rear one simply followed the first, but I never tried taking a sharp turn.

Cleveland Ohio IH dealer in 1978

In 1978 we ordered a Farmall 140 from our local Maryland Tobacco Growers store to plow up a new field, and to share the work done in the corn and poultry with our AC model B. IH found one in storage and shipped it to us. When I took the old paint off, there was a sticker that had the name...

On your second question companies make 3 point kits for when the one point is replaced. Does yours have a working hydraulics, and what 3 point implements were you thinking about?

Starter solenoid quit on my 1954 pony. Got a replacement - works 180 degrees out of phase.. anyone know where I can buy the correct one? 6 volt positive ground. With the tractor off, I have 6 volts already on the third terminal(no wire attached). When I push the start switch it sends 6 volts...

    Plow wheel spacing

that may beright... the right rear wheel normally runs in the furrow on the second pass, and the rest of the day. If the wheel spacing is right both mouldboards will be turning similar amounts on the second pass. If it is too wide it will leave an unplowed strip. Too narrow one will overlap...

OT Florida events and my experiences delivering books

I agree that the events about the shooting in Florida was bad for all. Two of my jobs were delivering payroll checks and books for amazn. About once a week delivering books I would be accosted by security or neighborhood watch person as to what I was doing. About twice a year I would have a gun...

OT root heath sheller, idiotic restroom lighting

Root Heath made four models of corn shellers. The top of the line model had R&H cast into it and the name cast in the wheel - anyone have any idea about the others? More idiotic restroom lighting has moved to Virgnia. You enter the restroom, go in a stall, 4 mminutes later all the power goes...
