    Disc Blades (ASC)

    Hey guys where do you buy your disc blades from? I have always purchased from ASC but they no longer deliver to the Peoples Republik of California. With that said unless there is an ASC in Arizona I need a new resource.

    1975 Ford 4000

    I did not notice any problems running the machine and only noticed the brass pices when I had the tractor split to do the power shift luckily I caught it in time before any major damage occurred but you will have to do like Rod said and pull the PTO and axles off to get carrier out it is very so...

    Them pices of brass I'm sure are from the differential Carrier thrust washers I've found big pices like them in the rear end on a 1370

    They can be hard to get out without a sleeve puller and I'm assuming your planning on reusing the same sleeves you maybe able to get a bottle jack and block of wood to push from the bottom with the engine in the tractor to push the sleeves out.

    Could be a cylinder liner o-ring or cracked head most likely where the o-ring sits on the sleeve or around the block from electrolysis having bad antifreeze in my guess.

    It could possibly be that you have warped steels in a power shift clutch pack causing all the friction and heat in the transmission. Had a similar problem with my 1370 and you could hardly hold your hand on the rearend because of the temp of it. But I would check all the simple things first...

    Case 1070 front end bearings need replacing

    Jack the front end up enough to clear the spindles and put a floor jack under the spindle to slowly let down they have a lil weight to them with the hubs on.
