    Farmall M transmission locked up?

This all comes down to how you parse the OP's sentence "With clutch pushed in, tractor will start and it can be rolled/towed." Does the part before the comma only apply to the part to the left of the "and" or does it also apply to the part following the "and". You are reading that sentence as...

    Farmall M transmission locked up?

I'm not sure this is exactly what he is trying to say. The original post says: "With clutch pushed in, tractor will start and it can be rolled/towed. Letting out on clutch will kill engine and lock up drivetrain." It isn't clear to me it should be interpreted as being able to roll/tow while...

    Farmall M ammeter randomly spiking

If I were to install such a breaker, I would attach only the lead from the alternator to one side of the breaker. I would leave all other load connections on the other side of the breaker or on the ammeter. This way, if the breaker opens, the failing alternator will be totally isolated. If...

Who posted the NAPA numbers for points and condenser

Grandpa love did, two weeks ago in a response in your thread. You could look there. https://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/threads/distributor-maker.1795651/#post-11838371

    Farmall M ammeter randomly spiking

Well, it is close to right. I don't know what B and L are on an ammeter (guessing Battery and Load), but the green wire belongs on the same lug as the red wire.

    '47 Cub governor adjustment advice

I can't tell for certain from the picture, but it appears to me that your governor tension fork may have one side broken off. (One side is normally longer than the other, but both should be long enough to engage the thrust bearing.) How does the thrust bearing look? It should have three...

    #60 4 bolt plow shares

Looking at a couple aftermarket listings, it appears that "14-4" is used on some of their part numbers to indicate a 14-inch 4-bolt share. They probably all interchange. Since yours is marked "14-4" any of them will probably work.

    #60 4 bolt plow shares

That number looks to me like something an aftermarket supplier used. (There is one on eBay right now with the same number. They don't claim to know what it is either.) The part itself looks to me like a Super Chief. Can you verify that? As far as I know, Super Chief shares came in 3-bolt...

    Cub carburetor problem

No, isn't that bad. It is worse. As I recall, the idle tube threads are 4-48.

difference in 1 pt hitch for Cub

The easiest way is probably to post a picture and somebody will tell you. There are a lot of differences in the individual parts. The easiest to describe is how the rockshaft is mounted to the tractor. For a Farmall Cub, the rockshaft is mounted on a pair of castings that bolt to the final...

    W9 gas distributor

I have codes C and H for the gas start Diesels. H seems to be the most common one as far as number of tractor models covered. The RPM article was July-August 2007.

    '47 Cub governor adjustment advice

The rockshaft is keyed into the governor. Sometimes that connection gets worn, allowing the rockshaft to turn relative to the internals of the governor. Check that area for looseness. Any looseness can cause problems, including the one you are experiencing. Some people have reduced the...

    W9 gas distributor

I had a list in RPM years ago. According to my notes, code B is correct for a 9-Series with a C-335 engine, W for a C-350 engine. The code A was for the early letter series models (smaller than 9-Series). Code B has a 40 degree advance, W has 32.

    Some starting help needed.

If the engine turned, the starter is not jammed.
