    My dad farmed 210 tillable acres with an F-20, rode lot of hours on the axle. Then he got a new Massey 44 in 1947, I learned to drive on that one, couldn't believe it even had electric start and lights!

    AC 3 bottom plow

    I have one exactly like it, 14 in. 3 bottom, bought from original owner who got it from Affolders in Berne, In. Rear wheel turns 360 degrees-back it like a two wheel trailer.

    I am going with the Tri State Two Cyl. club out of Ft. Wayne, In. We loaded 6 tractors up this afternoon on a semi flat bed.

    OT--Decreasing American Skilled Workers?

    Served the last of my 8000 hour government sponsored apprenticeship under president LBJ, saw some real changes implemented. It was the start of "dumbing down America" -helped me a lot in being a farmer/mechanic.

    We got married 51 years ago today(Aug 31st)haven"t wore wedding ring since the honeymoon. Safety reasons, wife understands.

    How many of you use old equipment because you enjoy it?

    Out of 35+ tractors the only one I bought new is a 2000 MF 241. Guess which one has an open safety switch that will not let it start? Thats why I like old iron!

    You don"t know what gear whine is until you hang on a Massey 44 or Cockshutt 40 for 14 hours a day!

    changing insurance

    Always try to do business with a local agent, if he can"t get it done, file a claim with your state insurance commissioner. You will be surprised how quick you will get a response from the company. You can do this on line.

    double bottom plow

    You need a single bottom plow to pull it right and not abuse your tractor.

    710 semi mount plow

    One of my boys and I cut a 710 four bottom down to a three four or five years ago. Welded blank in frame end and shortened rear wheel tubing. Looks like factory and plows well.
