    I second and third Graphite paint on a clean under deck. Been doing that for years. Easy clean-up. Coat deck right away in the spring, while clean and dry.

    Scott 730, you are right! My findings are, the serial numberT313R-030356R, falls in the serial number of a 1971 JD-5020 313R-030003-030612R. 5020 side-console rear end. Center console maybe 5020 before 1969, hydraulic levers on dash? But the engine looks to be a 1972 6030 intercooled...

    1952 JD A Serial Number

    Good point Steven. For the styled A, they had a water pump at serial number 700200 to the last John Deere A at 703304. Your tractor would be in that serial number range if you have a water pump. Year would be 1952 If not, the late styled JD--A could be from 1947 to 1951?
