    if there is a place near by your location, you can get it analyzed to find out what it is, instead of guessing, then use as you see fit

    I use heat-shrink or msha approved black electric tape, msha approved tape is water resistant and works very well

    Allis Chalmers B carburetor question

    when I have to have the choke on halfway it usually means there is a vacuum leak somewhere and I have found that replacing the carb tom intake gasket fix's the problem 9 out of 10 times

    Plasma Cutter???

    I have a thermal dynamics plasma cutter, use mine all the time, works great, consumables are cheap, unlike other brands, I installed an air dryer on mine and reduced the cutting tip failure, I would take a look at thermal dynamics, for years of use and low Maintenace.

    have not used counterweight blue, in my area, the tire shops use beet juice, works well, probably about the same.

    I always make my trusses and I make them like your #2 design. They have worked well for me over the years, I live in a 60# snow load zone, as well.

    one L, two LA's, two d's, one DI, one S, one VA, one VAC, one VAI, one 300 round nose, three 530's, one 800, two 830's, one 1270, one 2670, one 300 crawler, garden tractors, one 210, one 212, one 226 and one 446, several more to get running, as time allows.
