2N head torque 1 more question

How to torque the front center head bolt with it being right under the spark plug wire protection tube? Can't get at it with a standard torque wrench and socket.

    2N head torque-2 questions

    1) More proper torque sequence? There are 2 drawings to be found; 1 shows the center front as being #7, the other as being #17. Which one to use or does it matter? 2) The spark plug wire protection tube fits over that front center. How to get at it to torgue it? 3) (ok, I said 2 questions) The...

    2N steering sector packing install

I've got em in place by rolling and compressed them as much as possible by clamping the sector shaft into the housing to force them into place. End result is sector shafts are really, really stiff. Is that normal? Will they loosen up under use?

    2N steering sector packing install

Anybody have tips on how to get the rope packing into place? I have the first one in but so far haven't been able to compress it enough; it doesn't look like the sector shaft will contact the bearing surface. Are there any alternate to the rope? seems like a big fat o-ring wold do the trick.

    Steering post lock nuts

I'm re-replying 'cause when I tried it before I somehow replied to my original post: If you've got good ones & have no need, I would be more than happy to buy them! At least enough for a case of beer or whatever. My only other choices so far are to buy somebody a $40 tap then pay them to...

    Steering post lock nuts

Need 2 each new or good used steering shaft lock nut for Ford 9N, 2N. Original part #351119-S8 Was used from 1939-1947 Cannot find anywhere and cannot fabricate due to oddball size: 1-1/16" hex, 1/4" thick with 13/16-28 thread.

    Clutch pilot bearing

Any body know why the N Series uses a pilot bearing with only one seal? Anything I find on any manufacturer's web site say one side open allows for re-lubrication. Obviously not a practical thing with a clutch. The 6203Z (one seal) is readily available as a 6203ZZ (both sides sealed).

6 volt regulator for 20 amp Type B?

I read and old post that (Dell) said that the FAG-10505-A was good for 20 amps but on this website, it says it's for 10-12 amps. I have a 2-brush, 3-wire, Type-B generator that puts out a good 20 amps. It works fine until everything warms up, then starts to over-charge.
