Ford 3000? Ford 3600? Maybe both! Please advise the tractor green horn!
That thing is a pain in the butt. Was on the phone for an hour with the host going through part diagrams. I have stopped at local hydraulic shops here without any good results.Called a couple other suppliers too. Have been learning a lot about O rings! Yeah...Im not arguing with you Hobo,Just giving to a try. looked on amazon and others to find a suitable solution and if this fails I will do that. I will look for a multi-pack of O rings to solve these problems. Had problems on a Quick Look for ones that size. This project will most likely...- JimmyG9146

Falling behind getting progress noted. First Got the shaft back and it is a large improvement with only a couple mm out on both sides so hopefully that will be the end of that problem for many years. Did not get pics of that on halves assembly day. Forgot. Second, Got the halves back together...- JimmyG9146

Talked with my local machinist yesterday. He hopes to have the shaft finished end of day. Looks like I will put it back together first of the week. I figured that PP was preset but I just thought I would ask. Got to make sure it's adjusted correctly for a long life.I will check the travel when...- JimmyG9146

Hope I have it right! If so this can help others do it on the 3600. I could not find any images of the process. Hopefully I will get my shaft back tomorrow and get it snapped back together- JimmyG9146

One other aggravating problem. I have misplaced the stinking tranny oil drain plug!! I have looked everywhere for that rascal! probably put on the floor and kicked it in a corner to be found in 5 years. :mad: Is that thing just a cast pipe plug you can get at the home store?- JimmyG9146

Next and one question. Put the crank seal, pilot bearing flywheel and clutch together for hopefully to get the halves back together as soon as the clutch shaft is finished. My Question is do I need to do any adjustment to the pressure plate or is it good to go?- JimmyG9146

Ok... Got distracted by a dishwasher failure and replacement. The clutch, clutch bushings were delivered today and some other parts, so going to the machine shop in the morning to get that repaired and also press on the throw out to the carrier. Will be back to studying the seals for the hydro...- JimmyG9146

There's no tag on the pump unfortunately. I looked all over the casting and did not find anything. I will have to produce a number tag when I get done. What other ways are there?- JimmyG9146
