    Remove rotor?

Ah, you were right. It was rusted on, thanks. This is my first time going through the ignition on this tractor so I wasn't sure how hard I should reef on it.

    Remove rotor?

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't seem to remove the rotor from my side-mount distributor 8n. The figures that I have show a clip but I don't see one on mine at all. Would it just be pressed on somehow? It is electronic ignition, if that makes any difference. Thanks

    Lower link shaft replacement

Huh, I suppose that would do it, wouldn't it. Seems like I might have been over thinking it a bit. I guess the cotter pin should hold the nut from working loose even if the cotter pin isn't sticking directly through the crenellations. Thanks Dell.

    Lower link shaft replacement

It is a tapered pin, my brain just wants it to fit nice and flush I guess. That's what I'll do then, just add another washer or two until the castle nut is at the right height with it torqued down. Thanks guys.

    Lower link shaft replacement

I had a bad leak from the lower link arm shaft on my 8N, so I pulled the left trumpet and differential and removed the shaft. I ordered a replacement shaft, however the replacement doesn't fit flush with the hole. Is it supposed to, or should I just tighten the castellated nut to 150 ft/lbs...

    Testing hydraulic system?

I have a '52 8n that has a front-end loader but no 3 point hitch implements. I'm looking at purchasing either a rototiller or cultivator to work up some ground on my acreage, but I want to confirm that the hydraulic system is in good working condition in case it needs to be fixed before I spend...

    Bendix replacement

Is that something that I can just gently tap back in, or should I take the starter apart and reposition it?

    Bendix replacement

So I posted a while ago about my bendix that broke, I bought a replacement and am planning on installing it today. Before I install it, I just want to confirm that I'm doing it right since the starter shaft only has one hold and it looks like the old bendix wasn't fully engaging the flywheel...

    Canadian part sources?

Thanks for the advice guys. I believe that the bendix that was on there is a new style one, I'll look for the same type. I pulled the other half of the metal shield that goes over the spring out of the engine tonight, anything else missing from the old one? It's hard to tell from the pictures...

    Canadian part sources?

I have a 8N that I purchased last fall that needs a new starter bendix. I will also be needing a few parts here and there over the next year as I work on it. I'm wondering where everyone purchases parts from? Is there a good source online that will ship to Canada? Has anyone had luck with...
