    Not worth much, only to a collector not to anyone who would want to make hay. Your words are the kindest I've heard spoken about an IH 45 baler. I learned to tie knots at a young age because of those balers.

    The new caps vent better, less chance of bad experience when you take the cap off. That's why you can can get a new one for each serial number when you turn the old cap in.

    worn bearings normally show good oil pressure at start up then less as engine warms up. some times heavier old will help. if this happened all at once then it's probably something else.

    I use a spray called Hy Tac if I coat a head gasket.If everything is flat and clean you won't need it, but won't hurt anything and may help.

    put a straight edge across the manifold to see if it is flat. sometimes you can use a double gasket to take up some warping.

    6 volt gen w/12 volt reg

    I've change more than a few, the best way is to convert the generator to 12 volt. then everything still looks original. It's not the cheapest way but other wise you'll always be wishing you had done it right.

    Junk price, hate to say it but you can get something a lot better for $950 unless there's sentimental value.

    I agree with Bob, I've ground out the front of the shift rail notch and weld the back to move the fork ahead a little. It's a cheap fix if it works. You can always put new parts in.

    Ford 555D backhoe, good or bad??

    I've had a 555 for years and it was high hour when I got it. Very little trouble with it. Sometimes wish it had 4wd & extendable hoe. One of the best things I ever bought.
