Update… thanks for the assistance Majorman. Bled the fuel system and drained the injector pump oil and refilled. Started right up and running smooth now. -

Thanks Majorman… I’ll be out on the farm later today and will check the fuel system as you suggested… as for the preheat device, I really don’t think it has one. There’s no switch or button to engage one. I’ll follow up later with some details on the fuel system inspection. Thank you sir! -

Super Dexta Diesel Combustion Issue
Have a ‘63 Super Dexta with 3cyl Perkins Diesel. Converted to 12v. Recently replaced solenoid and ignition wiring. Engine will turn over but will not fire up and run. When starting, no “smoke” from exhaust manifold, just small puffs of vapor (assuming fuel/air mix). Unsure of what to check first... -

Super Dexta Solenoid Bad???
Thanks for that. I replaced all the wiring (i.e. battery cables, starter cable, low amp wires from switch to solenoid/alternator, etc...). Funny thing is it is a new solenoid as well. Since I was able to run a jumper cable directly from battery to starter terminal and it started right up, I'm...- jlowe14

Super Dexta Solenoid Bad???
Have issue with Super Dexta (12V) starting. Solenoid clicks but won't engage starter. However, I can use jumper cable to direct jump the starter from battery and will crank right up. Thinking the solenoid is bad?- jlowe14

Thanks. I have tried pressing clutch all the way to disengage the pto and it still grinds. Hoping I don't have to install a new clutch. -

Super Dexta parking brake
That's what I thought. Mine is the same way. If you depress the brake pedal all the way down, then flip that little handle forward, it will slide the teeth forward on the handle. Then, let off the brake and the pedal should stay down. -
