    That makes sense and that’s exactly what was happening. Apparently the battery didn’t have enough juice and quickly died right after so I had it on a charger and will try again. Does this mean I don’t have to adjust the float at all and the carb is good right out of the box?

    It does start back up after stalling but will also start stuttering again and attempt to stall, unless I throttle it a bit, which will keep it going. So I’m really wondering if it’s something with the carb. Trust me I want to check all the easy and cheap stuff first haha

    Took the sediment bowl off and it flows fine to it and the gas is clean in the bowl. This was the first thing we did and I forgot to put that in.

    Ford 860 is stalling under load. It’ll run fine for maybe 20-30 minutes while brushhogging and then it’ll start sputtering and stalling. We’ve tried changing points/condensor, cleaning oil bath and air intake. Only thing we can think of now is the carb needs cleaned

    So I tried turning the crank backwards and it will go backwards. I also tried tugging on the fanbelt just to see if it would turn. It won’t budge at all. Not sure if that’s a key piece at all or not. I do want to mention that when my dad was turning the crank, it spun freely, not catching...
