    Small Dairy Farms going to the wayside quick in northern Wi

    I'm in Bedford Co. Pa.The same thing happened here during 50's 60'S. first 25 cow dairies then 50 cow; now farmers milk 80 to 100, 3x/day.As a kid on the "Family farm" we milked 15 to 20.Stopped milking in 1965.Sad but true!

    Originial Thermostat?

    Start boiling some water on the stove. Clean that unknown thing the best you can . If a"flap" opens;put it back in.Brass;good original part. If it doesn't open go to Ford-New Holland dealer;buy a new one.

    My 48 had same problem. I bet spider gear is damaged and that you need a new one.

    waited my whole life and now it's here and it makes me nervo

    GO 4 it.I'v done that kind of stuff my whole life. Bought a small manufacturing business once for 30k;sold it 16 yrs. later for 2 million.Secret is, hard and harder work and smarts.
