    If coil is a kohler coil/after market coil with internal resistor check that +12v from ign sw is connected to POS(+)terminal on coil,if coil connections reversed on coil you'll get a weak/no spark condition.     Check that you're possibly installing the pump wrong,check that pump arm is OVER cam when installing pump to block,pump can be installed with arm under cam which is incorrect & will cause little/no pump output in addition to possibly damage to pump,been there/done it.Very easy to install wrong.
