    pin hole in carb float

The TO 30 I'm working on has the Carter carb. I just discovered the float has a pin hole size hole in it. Has anyone had luck soldering or otherwise repairing a leak without adding too much weight to the float? My Dad who could solder anything tried it numerous times on carb floats but never...

    MF135 Fuel Cap - Vented?

Should the fuel cap on my 1967 MF135 with Perkins diesel be vented or non-vented? I see on this website you can purchase either version and both are for the 135???

    Oxy acetylene

Is it worthwhile to buy used oxy acetylene set ups? Should I just go new? I understand about inspection dates and stars indicating when the rating expires and that the neck should be clean of marks indicating ownership. Thoughts? Experiences?

    Ferguson plow tail wheel

I was wondering if anyone had some pics showing the tail wheel bracket on a Ferguson 14 AO plow? I took mine apart last year and cannot remember how the linkage hooks onto the spring for the up down pressure. I looked at the blow up of the parts manual on N tractor but it is hard to see...

one ferguson plow share down, one to go

Wow those are rare. I sure wish someone would make these again. I have a nice 2 bottom with decent shares, but they need a little love from the welder for sure. How much did you get that for? Joe

Check out the Fordson house. They have lots of parts for the Mc D tractors. I have been dreaming about getting one for some time now. I believe they have a brass float for them to replace the cork. Hope this helps. Joe

    Update on Snap-On Welder

From what I read, the Systematics welders are good quality and they have been around for some time now. Hope it works good for you. Joe

    Snap-on Tig Welder

From what I have read, almost all Snap On welders are made by Systematics. You can search and find their website. I have a mig welder I bought about 20 years ago from my Snap On dealer. I did some reading on a couple welding forums and got some good info. They still make the welder I have...

    O/T Mortar mix

Not that I am a mason but I asked the guys that did my basement about getting the mortar stickier. He said you need to add more mortar to the mix. I think he said they used 16 or so shovels of sand per bag. When you are doing stone or veneer you go down to like 9 shovels. I did a shooting...

    Work-place photos

Wow that is kinda crazy. I live in Mt Pleasant. Know a couple people that work there including a cousin. Went to school with the grand kids of the guy that started the place. My best friend in school lived right behind there. Joe

    Worth Repairing?

What are you doing in Sears MI? That is pretty close to where I live, and I used to date a girl that lived in that massive town. Dang that brings back some memories. Joe Hynes

    Dearborn Plow

What number plow had those flat shares? The one I have has the pointy share with the triangle on the front. I think it's a 10-1. The Ferguson plow I bought this summer is the same way. I might try adapting some newer shares on it. I already did the mould boards and shins. Joe Hynes

    OT Building my own house

I didn't build a new house, instead I did about 50 times more work and remodeled an OLD, OLD house. Yes you can save money, IF, and I do mean IF you know how to do the things you are considering. I have never done any construction before like this in my life, heck I work in a factory. But...

    Help identify these

I can get more pics tomorrow. I am still wondering what the cast iron pieces are. The one is some sort of wrench I believe, the other I have no idea. The tag that is on it was torn off where it might have told what it is. I did a search about the generator thing. Said they were a cure...
