    3010 clutch won't release

I'm thinking that if I put some drain holes in it, it might not rust up again. When I took the inspection cover off, I didn't see amy drain holes anywhere. There will be when I put it back. Maybe an anual removal to clean out the mud and other critters in there too.

    3010 clutch won't release

I finally got back to this tractor. I jacked up both back wheels, started it in 7th gear and nailed the brakes about the third time, it stopped the wheels and didn't kill the tractor. It is now operating as desired.

    3010 clutch won't release

Thank you for the ideas y'all gave me, I am right in the middle of cutting hay, so that tractor while it would be easier to be able to use it, has been pushed to the back burner. I'll update when I get back to it.

    3010 clutch won't release

It is a gas engine, syncro transmission. Definately NOT any powershift. It will die if the ingition switch is turned off. I have pull started it when the starter failed, so I know it will WITHOUT causing trouble. I also know that it had a push-button normally closed switch operated by the...

    3010 clutch won't release

That is my plan. I have access to a tractor with forklift forks on it. They should reach the center link hook-up easily. I was thinking of jacking the rear wheels up and trying that first, then simply push it off the jacks if that doesn't work.

    3010 clutch won't release

I've never had a battery strong enough to start it in gear. Right now, I am using two hot batteries hooked in parallel to get it to roll a little. It still isn't good enough to get it to start in gear. I completely understand the risk, and if it was anyone else, I wouldn't leave it by-passed...

    3010 clutch won't release

I have to admit, that part of that need was the little kid running out into the road in front of me, but it did wobble around a little, because I didn't have the pedals tied together like I should have. I didn't have to. When I by-passed it, it started, and will start in gear. Provided the...

    3010 clutch won't release

Yes that's what had me nervous about that. I've had to get on those brakes at full speed, had to scrape my drawers after that.

    3010 clutch won't release

It might not have been factory, but it was there, and the only one on that tractor. I know because I disabled it.

    3010 clutch won't release

I think you're right. Turning the output shaft on a wide gear ratio would severely overdrive the input shaft which would most likely cause the rear wheels to simply skid. The neutral safety switch on this one was a limit switch that closed when the clutch was disengaged. It failed and was...

    3010 clutch won't release

I really don't expect the rear wheels to turn much. I can always use lower gears making it harder to turn the finals against the engine.

    3010 clutch won't release

I already thought about that. I'm thinking of using a high gear and just dragging it until the wheels break loose. I have another tractor I can drag it with, and I think it would be safer to do it that way than try it running. The rusted down clutch is most likely the weakest link in the...

    3010 clutch won't release

PTO works as desired... amazingly. It must have only been up enough for the flywheel to pick it up because when I pulled the inspection cover off barely anything came out. I dug a lot of mud and grease out. Ive been soaking everything I can reach with PB Blaster, hopefully it will loosen up...

    3010 clutch won't release

I tried blocking the pedal down, and let it run at about 3/4 throttle for an hour. No luck. While it was running, I pulled the timing cover off, and took a bath in some nasty rusty water and other things I won't mention. Currently, I'm cutting the weeds out from under it, so I won't get too...
