    G6 I hot wire this by using a battery cable touching one end on the power side (right) and grounding it to the nut ontop of the starter. This nut is from the bracket which is attatched to the left post of the soleniod.When I do this the starter spins. JOE

    G6 the battery has plenity of power because again I can not jump it with another battery but hot wirer it. I can take a battery cable touch the power side of the soleniod and ground it and it turns over fine. JOE

    Dell I replaced the resistor because when I put a test light on it the existing side was barely lit. I was told I needed to put power to the small post on the soleniod. In fact I put a wire from the power side of the soleniod to the small post and it turned over.The battery was charged. JOE

    Last week I posted on my 8N not turning over I did everything suggested.I deplaced the soleniod and resister.Still nothing. So I installed a new thumb Starter by passing the original setup.I wired from the battery to button to soleniod small post. Now the soleniod makes a noise when pressed but...

    Yes I put a conductive test on the thumb button and when pressed there is a connection.I have no power to the small terminal,I think thats my problem. JOE

    The first seleniod I tried looked like your diagram.The one on the starter the power came in on the right not the left. I returned it because it said 6 v not 12v,but I did try it according to your diagram b-4 I returned it and when I pressed the button it clicked but didn't turn the starter. JOE

    I understand the little stud faces the block,right side is power and left is grounded to the starter. Still when will power go to the little stud?When the thumg starter is pushed?Does the little stud need power? JOE

    Thanks for the advise ,here is what I've done so far. Grounding the wire from the starter button.didn't work.Checked with a test light to see if power was going thru the system and it was.Used a meter to see if the starter switch had conductivity,it did. I replaced the wire from starter...

    MY STARTER BUTTON STOPPED WORKING SO I CHANGED MY SOLONIOD.STILL NO RESPONSE,DEAD,NOTHING.I TOOK A WIRE TOUCHED THE POWER POST AND SOLINOID POST AND IT TURNED OVER. I'M CONFUSED. IS THEIR A POWER SOURCE TO THE STARTER BUTTON?I CAN'NT FIND IT! THANKS,JOE
