    Vermeer 504

I’m looking for a new to me Baler, but I’m on a budget. I have a market for small round bales (4x4), but will be feeding most of what I roll. I like what I’ve read about Vermeer balers so far. I found a nice looking 504L that is close to my budget. Will that baler make a nice 4x4 bale also?

Old pasture into corn, notill or??

This past year I no tilled corn into a field that had been hay for 20+ years and into pasture that hadn't been taken out of pasture in at least 80 years (landlord's uncle is in his 80's and never saw the field plowed). Other than some planter issues in that field, it worked extremely well. It...

    60 John Deere roller rockers

I used them on my 51 A, while at the same time having the head decked, new aluminum Pistons, and a cam from Josh Blackburn. Took the A from 33 HP at 540 to 48 HP. Not sure how much was due to the rockers, but josh suggested them, so I bought them.

    And the winner is.........

Less than 2% of the US population is a farmer and very few of those use antique tractors in their operations. Most antique tractors have been relegated to fence rows and scrap yards or sitting in a barn or out building somewhere rarely getting started or used. Sure, many of us on here use...

    And the winner is.........

Guessing it's the RD450 and RD501 that makes it so popular. I don't know that any of these tractors are using those engines, but there are plenty all over that do.

    My first wheat harvest (pics)

I did not. I wasn't aware that it would bolt up. I'm finished cutting now, but will definitely check that out for next time. I had to cut a little lower than I wanted to.

    My first wheat harvest (pics)

I do too. There were 4 boys riding on the step board. I'm a high school teacher and a lot of the boys will come out to help and hopefully learn and have fun.

    My first wheat harvest (pics)

First attempt at growing wheat. I won't know the yield until Tuesday when everything opens back up. Not as impressive as most operations, but I started with nothing but debt 3 years ago. One of my high school helpers putting in a little seat time on the John Deere 720 diesel pulling a 9'...

    Gleaner M tachometer

I'm getting the combine ready to run wheat but my tachometer won't work at all. It is a diesel with the switch to check ground speed, engine speed and cylinder speed. I switched the tach and switch with one from a parts machine with no results. How do I check if it's the sensors or the tech...

    John Deere finger pikup units????

I am rebuilding my units currently on my 7000. Corn left in the units by the previous owner. Only a couple of them were damaged though. One was just starting to put in several small spots. Another was rusted badly and even rusting away the fingers. The other four were like brand new.

    tonights feature harvesting equipment

Here is my galvanized re-seeder. First time I ever used it this past fall. There are a couple of my high-school helpers checking things out while we were waiting on the wagons to get across the field to empty the grain bin.
