    Made an a!! of myself!!

Had a 195 dollar HP printer given to me, and it would crumple up about every 3rd sheet of paper. Worked and worked on on that sucker. Finial got some mad I bounced it off my cement shop floor and all the glass parts broke into a million pieces. Didn't make me feel better, just sorry I was so...

Be careful with these things, I was told that they are charged to more than 2000 psi. Than could hurt someone bad.

I apologize for not getting the info on the chuck. I measured the chuck hosing and I couldn't believe my eyes, I runs just under .001!!! Now the jaws, I cleaned them up with 0000 steel wool and found inside of the slot that slides into the chuck body the factory numbers. I have a round piece...

    lathe chuck

Thanks guys, I will go back and redo the jaw swapping and clean the front face to see about marks. I would grind the jaws as a last resort.

    lathe chuck

I have a Jet 9n20 Jet metal lathe that has a chuck that reads about 15 to 20 thousands off of center. Took out the jaws and swapped them around. No luck. I am thinking I may have to grind some material off of one of the jaws. Have any one got a better solution?

    Best oscillating lawn sprinkler

My friend the scrapper gave me one of those tractor sprinklers that follow the hose. The gear box needs two gears to make it work again but when I called the company they said they do not make or sell parts. Bummer, I alway wanted one of these critters. Does anyone have a good gearbox? I'll...

My flat screen tv is dark!

Guido, I think the beeps mean something. Just like some computers do a start up test, the TV or some TVs do one too. I had a list of them somewhere but haven't seen it for a couple of years. All I remember is that one beep means everything is ok.

    Cheap Equipment

I have a good friend that always buys the cheapest tools around because he does not have the patience to take care of them, treat them right and put them away when he is done he leaves them lay. When I first got to know him and work with him,I ran around behind him picking them up. after a...

    Stores Bad Experience!

As long as someone has mentioned tires, I thought someone might profit from this: when buying tires, ask to see the date code on each of the tires. Some outfits will have some old tires around that are close the age where the sidewalls start to crack. If the date codes are more than 6 months...

    garage door opener

Well, I have been busy but I finally found time to work one the garage door problem and got it solved! One of the wires that run from the electric sensors to the electronics board was bad. Apparently it would be ok in warm weather but as it got cold the wire would open and the door would see...

    garage door opener

OK guys, I adjusted the down force and that didn't fix the problem. I have a belt drive so I didn't have to mess with that. Last summer the spring broke and was replaced as were the rollers and the spring guy ran the door up and down by hand several times to see anything bound the door up. I...

    garage door opener

In the course of 27 years in this house I have had 3 garage door openers, two Craftsman and a Chamberlain. Nearly every year when the temperature gets below 30 degrees the opener will not go down. It starts to move and then stops and the light blinks. If I hold the wall mounted switch it will...

Thanks guys for all the help, I went to Lowe's and looked at hydraulic cement. Good stuff, smallest amount was 10 pounds. Went to Home Depot, same thing, clerk looked it up and sure enough, 10 pound pail is the smallest they sell. I bought it, but I only need about 2 cups of the powder. Got...
