    Wheel-Powered Manure Spreaders

Thanks for all the generous responses. I've used a New Idea behind a TN65 for years but am leaving the property where I rent the tractor. I would only have my SuperA to use for unloading compost unless I bought another tractor. SO it sounds that according to the advice here I shouldn't run a...

    Wheel-Powered Manure Spreaders

Hi, I was curious about wheel-powered manure spreaders and how they measure up to a PTO driven system. I am thinking about getting a cub-manure spreader for my Super A which looks like it can hold about two or three bucket loads. How quickly will it put it down? I have 150' beds in my...

    Farmall Super A spark plugs

Hello, I see that the Farmall Super A used Champion 15-A. First of all how do I get them out (what size socket, 7/8? 18mm?)... the engine block is so tight it seems like the socket needs to be extra thin, is that my imagination? Also, is there a recommended modern plug? Thanks so much!

    Huskee 300 gal boom sprayer

I am looking at buying a Huskee boom sprayer, but my mechanic is telling me that the nozzels may be hard to find. Does anyone know of a place to buy nozzels or happen to know the thread pitch of a Huskee boom sprayer's nozzels. I'm not anywhere near the machine or else I would go measure it...

info on hydraulics for AC-G tractor

I'm still confused about where to start with my hydraulic system on my G even though I was sent a manual from some very nice people. I have heard that the PTO needs to be engaged in order to run the system but what I know of as a PTO is not found on my G... is it hidden in the transmission...

    AC-G Hydaulics and Tires

Also, I need to replace a pair of rear tires, 11.2 x 38, for standard G tires, 7.2 x 30. Do I need to replace the tubes as well??? Thanks and Happy Holly-days

    AC-G Hydaulics and Tires

Does anyone have the schematics for a Allis Chalmers G hydraulic system, as perhaps seen in the "Allis-Chalmers G Tractor Hydraulic Pump Owners Manual"? Thank you!

    Basket weeder, looking

I'm looking for a basket weeder cultivator that can be belly mounted an an Allis Chalmers G tractor. I know Buddingh makes them new and to specs but I am looking for a used one.. I could use some advice as to where to look, such as web-sites or yards in the northeast that might have such...

    Starter for Allis Chalmers G

Hi there, a couple questions. Is it worth my time to try and rebuild a starter for a AC-G tractor and if so where can I find the parts (field coil set, post kit, brush set, and bushing set) which does not seem to be available on Yesterday's website? I was wondering if anyone could verify a...

    Allis G, basket weeder set-up

Actually I was not referring to widening the track (width-wise) but am concerned about the space length-wise BETWEEN the front and rear tires. The space is only about 33". The width of the tire treads is good, right where I want them. I guess I am really asking if there are implements that...

    Allis G, basket weeder set-up

Hello, I recently picked-up a AC-G which has new, fat rear-wheel tires on it(7" from the rim to the treads). The previous owner told me that the wheel spacing from front to back (~33") is too tight to put her basket weeder on, the problem being when the implement was lifted the rear-wheel...

Farmall Super A rear wheel problem

Hi there, I have a 49 Super A with a popping rear wheel. As the tractor tire turns a very audible "pop" happens consistently with each rotation. We inspected the gears and axles which look good and the bearings on first inspection all seem to be in place. Also this problem only occurs when...
