    jleus, Good description and I thank you. Maybe you need a F04 manual. You won't have to use the brain as much with the diagrams it contains. These tractors are pretty simple really but as with all "things"...there's a science behind it. John

    6 volt generator

    I can't remember the name of the guy I got my gen from on this forum (age showing again) but it's been a jewel. He had it rebuilt but converted over to 12V. Gen sat on a shelf at his place for a year or so when I bought it. Hope you get a good one. John

    Hi Guy, It's a 2N. Shorting it is what I did to get it started last night, and yes, this is a 3 spd tranny. Wear in the linkage makes sense to me. That thing can unbolted and removed from the front of the steering column? John

    Requesting winter oil weights suggestions

    Many thanks everyone for your advice. I'll print this and get to work while weather permits. I think I'll do the mag heaters also this winter. Last winter, just engaging the PTO was enough to try to stall the engine everything was so thick. John
