    Check the rear rims for rot around the valve stem. Also ask if the tubes are filled with CaCl, this can leak and rust out the rims.

    I have a JD45 with the 145 gas engine. I'm harvesting beans, the beans are tall and good. I also have a problem with a lot of water hemp. Earlier in the harvest the cylinder would jam up.     Also, if I remember correctly I might have used an automotive steering wheel puller, there isn't a lot of room between the water pump and radiator to get a serious gear puller in there.     Is this the nut behind the pulley? I had to use a gear puller to move it slightly forward to get any tool in their to take it off. The pulley now has a notch cut in it for access. Good luck, this is not a fun job.
