    Rusty intake tube

    Jd 4440, the inside of the intake stack tube is covered in rust. The elbow it connects to is also rusty. Should the inside of the tube and elbow be sand blasted and cleaned up real good? Or won't the rust matter since it's before the air filter?

    I pulled the right side axle housing off a jd 4440 powershift, the diff bearing does look a little bad. The race does show some spalling, not much, but some. So looks like im replacing that bearing. I'm a newbie to alot if this, I need to check how much the diff moves and get the correct...

    When i get time im going to check the RIGHT side diff bearing, now that we have that confusion figured out . Tim, do you normally check the pre load on it or do you normally just look for spalling on the bearing and or race? Thanks again for your help.
