The pto shaft came to a complete stop when l ran into wire with the 5ft cutter on my 135. I stopped the tractor and disengaged the pto. The wire drug out from under the cutter and after looking under the cutter and free spinning it I engaged the pto. No problem. I would think something would...

Got the rear axle and pto seals changed on the M. Now thinking about the leak at the belt pulley gear box. Can I order a gasket or make one. Also what is the procedure of removing the gear box. I am not a mechanic by no means but have heard there are shims to look out for when removing...

    Hay baler

A lady is headed to the scrape with a stationary baler. I did see the baler but did not look it over that well. It has a gas motor mounted on it and is free spinning at the flywheel. Do not know the make but it is all there and was last working 30 years ago. I know this is very little to go on...

    M mag

Dad bought a M in about 2008. After his death in 2011 I got the tractor and use it on my 20 acres and for hay rides. My question is how long will the points last. I have never even looked into the mag since Dad got the M. I had a 9n for 15 years and changed the points often. Not bad...

    M wheels

is the jam nut that is placed on the bolt of the wheel and rim assembly necessary or is it just for convenience. The threads on the bolts I have are not deep enough to place a jam nut behind the outside clamp. I am replacing a cracked center wheel on my M. Thanks for any replies.

    Welding M wheel

I have two running cracks about an inch and a half long about six inches apart on the wheel of my M Farmall. The cracks are on the wheel where the two bolts clamp it to the axle. Until I replace the wheel is welding a good idea. I am not a welder but can have one do it. Just wanted y"all"s...

    OT--Tires

I have worked at a Michelin tire plant for over 25 years. Have built Michelin , uniroyal and BF Goodrich tires all at the plant during that time. The Michelin brand tires have a tighter spec and different material content than the other brands. Hope you are not loosing air on any I built.
