    Show me your Dash TEA20

    My 1954 TEA-2085 has the original oil pressure gauge on the left side of the dash and amperage gauge on the right side of the dash since the tractor was bought new in 1956. Key switch is below dash on left side, has been replaced. Red light is on the right side of dash. No temp gauge on it.

    Going with the 85mm kit. Brother will do the rebuild. He's a tractor mechanic with many overhaul jobs under his belt. He knows the Fergies inside out.

    My TEA-20 engine needs overhauling. It has the Standard 85mm engine. There is a engine rebuild kit that is 87mm that they say will fit my engine. Also claim some more HP. Have any of you guys installed this kit in a TEA-20 standard engine? If so, did you run into any problems?

    Changing Valve Guides

    I'm doing a valve job on my 1954 TEA20 Ferguson Standard engine. I need to replace the valve guides as well as all valves and springs. How difficult is it to replace the guides. Can someone give me some advice on how to do it. Thanks, John

    reply to post at 05:46:25 10/27/15) Hi Steve, The TEA 2085 breakdown is, TE (tractors built in England) "A" refers to the engine Make which was made by the Standard Motor Co. "85" refers to the size of the engine bore which is 85 mm. which put out a whopping 28 HP.
