    Farmall 300 and Bush Hog

I did a search for "Fast Hitch to 3 point".

    Farmall 300 and Bush Hog

Correction, my fast hitch pockets take a 1-1/4 inch thick prong. I'm guessing that the gray ones ARE category 2. Sorry for the misinformation.

Well, I guessed at "Category 3", but the arms were around 1-1/2 inch thick, while my fast hitch pockets take a 3/4 inch thick prong.

I saw none in person that I could make work. I'm a little hesitant to order something and then try to make them work. I did find an excellent pair of off-set prongs BUT the were Catagory 3 or 4 and the arms were way thick for the pockets on my hitch.

Yeah, I've run into more sets that I COULDN'T use, than ones that I could use.

    Farmall 300 and Bush Hog

Thanks guys. I don't need to lift it off the ground--just raise the front. I've checked a really good tractor salvage yard, but they didn't have anything I could use. Hey, WH, where is your High School located?

    Farmall 300 and Bush Hog

Got no torch, but I do have a Delta Wood & Metal bandsaw and some angle grinders. Cutting 3/4 steel with my bandsaw is tedious, but I've done small cuts before.

    How did you cut yours?

I've been thinking about doing just that. I have some 3/4" steel. Wish I knew somebody with a water jet or plasma set up.

I guess a pair of these is what I need, but DANG they are pricey.

    Farmall 300 and Bush Hog

Here is what the hydraulic drawbar looks like on this 300 I bought. I want to use it to bush hog--my bush hog hooks up to a normal 3-point hitch, but I only use the bottom 2 arms of the 3-point hitch to hook the bush hog up. There must be an easy way to hook up my bush hog to this 300 system...

    Here's my new-to-me Farmall 300

I've had my Farmall H for 30 years, so I do understand about moving the gear shift sideways to find neutral. Yes, with the 300 it DOES move sideways, but it still stays in a higher gear. Thanks Rustred, I'll try that.

    Here's my new-to-me Farmall 300

Here's the Farmall 300 I've been asking questions about. My plan is to sell the Schwartz front-end loader and try to get my bush hog mounted onto the back so I can bush hog with it. But it has a problem. I have been having trouble finding neutral with the gear shift. Sometimes when I think...

    Gas Line for Farmall 300

Good to hear Rustred. I lost my love for them but that doesn't make them all bad--you are right about their ability to trap water, and see what is coming out of your tank. The inline filter I used is a NAPA Gold 3002. It's clear so you can see into it.
