    Starter drive mistake

I agree, just install it and start the engine. It will take care of itself.

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

Picked up the pump and cylinder from the repair shop yesterday. Installed it all this morning and other than a small leak at the controls, everything is working great! Was the pump all along, Thanks everyone for all the help and support, it's truly appreciated! Jonathan

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

The repair shop still has the pump and one lift cylinder. They are replacing the shaft on the cylinder. It appears to be the pump bypassing internally. I should be getting both back any day now. I feel pretty good that the problem was the pump but won't know for sure until I get it back and...

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

Would appear that the pump is the problem. The repair shop has tried to find another pump, as did I with no success. They are currently machining some of the parts and hoping for the best. They do believe that they can get it working again. I will know for sure once they complete the process...

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

Thank you. Has taken a few years off and on to get it to where it is now. Never dreamed that the hydraulics would cause this much trouble. The splines on pump and pulley are fine and working. Still waiting on pump repair. Hope that is the problem. I'm looking forward to running it.

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

Bleed orifice is clear and filter is clean. I will remove the o rings and see if I can replace them. Have not heard back about my pump as yet. Thanks.

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

A big thank you for all that responded with suggestions and help. I finally got the adaptor I needed to check the pump pressure. Barely any pressure! I have now drained the fluid out, taken the pump off, and will be taking it into a local hydraulic repair shop for evaluation this morning. I...

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

Thanks for the suggestion. I have already taken this valve out and cleaned it. Minimal debris in it and all appeared good. I left the adjustment as it was and did not try to adjust it. Thought I would check pump pressure first. I ordered a pressure gauge kit but haven't had the time to...

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

What are you referring to when you talk about the Float mechanism? I don't see it in my manual.

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

Thanks for all the suggestions. The filler port is very small, but I will try and look inside. I haven't done that yet. I left the same setting on the relief valve when I cleaned it. I haven't tried to adjust it as yet. That maybe worth a try. I ordered a pressure gauge set last night...

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

Have the general shop manual for the 310-350 machines. I'm almost 100% sure I have everything hooked up correctly. Pump is shaft driven from front engine pulley and it is turning. Only thing I can think of now is an internal problem in either the pump or valve control box. Thinking of...

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

I don't think I have a diversion valve. I have the manual, but it doesn't say anything about a diversion valve. I do have a Main Check valve located in the control box. I pulled it out according to the manual, but it looked fine. I cleaned it and reinstalled, but the dozer does exactly the...

    Case 310G dozer hydraulic problems

Hi guys. I'm looking for some help with a direction I should go. I have been restoring a Case 310G dozer with six way blade. Hydraulics all worked when it was taken apart a few years ago. Now finishing it up with new hoses, filters, and fittings etc. Same pump and controls. Appears to be...
