Ethanol
I too have had problems with BOTH my 23 year old Stihl chainsaw and 20 year old Stihl weedeater, both have stablizer in the off season. On both, the fuel lines have "rotted" for lack of better term. OT - Garden stuff
I have the largest and earliest crop of maters in 25 years ...but the bottom rot is killing me. The plants are 6 feet tall and starting to go red, the first few have bottom rot 50% up from the bottom. I did place a large amount of horse manure on it this year - 2 year old dry stuff. PTO ORC will not fit.
Jasper, look again at the pto end. It there any sign of an "lip" on each of the 6 splines? As someone said, the spline could be twisted. If you have a metal file, I would run it against the sides of the splines lightly. Better yet - take a black sharpy and "color" the splines and grooves - try...- Jubille85 (VA)
