    thanks guys for the reply. excuse my ignorance how do I know if it is a independent or live pto? it has a 2 stage clutch. also has the 25 spline pto shaft. and the engine/ground positions on the pto selector lever by left foot.

    Good Evening: I am working on a 255 with the 203 Perkins, I got it split tonight to replace the clutch and the flywheel is beyond repair it's all pitted up. looks like it was sitting in water. I bought the tractor knowing it needed a clutch. didn't expect this not sure if it can be cut enough...

    John Deere 2440

    i have a 2440 that I keep getting air bubbles in the glass fuel filter after about 2 mins of running. I checked all the fittings found no cracks at thee flared ends. even tightened the packing nut on the fuel shutoff valve on bottom of tank. could this problem be a lift pump starting to go bad...
