    If you look at my other thread you can see that someone had seen 2 sell last year for 6500. They were not restored and had little to no original paint. 1000 seems pretty low. However I still appreciate the feedback.

    Funny you say that. I just finished working it so the temp gauge was maxed. I blew the rad and oil cooler out with compressed air and realized that the oil cooler was not really hot to the touch at all. Checked the lines, filter canisters, trans body, and some controls and none felt overly hot...

    My 970 has an oil cooler. It reads hot but have never really noticed any changes in the tractor when it does. The 3 pt hitch functions properly and doesn't seem to sound laboured in any position.     Fluid level is good. I've tried cleaning the rad best I can with compressed air. When it's under repair I plan to remove it and clean inside and out.
